The Sprout House Sales and News for October 2011

Hello Sprouters!
We have experienced a wet and warm September. And as today starts, we are beginning October 2011 wet but just a slight cooler. The outside weather matters very little, however, as I stand by my sink and rinse my sprouts. They are growing very nicely indoors without any soil or bugs or weeds. And no rain pelting down on my body. Just me and the trays and the sprouts. My husband has very nearly completed putting our outdoor garden to bed for the coming winter months so I have increased my sprouting efforts to compensate. Less outdoor garden veggies and more indoor garden veggies.

Today is my 11th Anniversary of owning The Sprout House. I have now been Sprout Lady Rita for 11 years. I thank all of you for making it possible for me to do this. I have truly enjoyed your telephone calls, emails and personal visits. Everyday is different and rich with experiences for me. It has been a lot of fun experimenting with different sprouting methods and pushing myself to sprout more and more as the years have gone by.

My first foray into sprouting was on bamboo baskets with plastic bag tents to create a greenhouse effect. Just one basket at a time. And now we have several trays growing at once with always a jar or two of soaking seeds on the counter waiting to get started.

To celebrate our 11th Anniversary we have an Anniversary Sale EVERYTHING IS ON SALE FOR 10% OFF. NO COUPON CODES. That’s right, no coupon codes needed. The 10% discount has already been taken. Just shop and everything in your cart is already 10% off. Now, that’s a cause for celebration!

Have you visited my blog recently? www.welcometosprouting.com We have just started a discussion on How To Grow Wheatgrass. I know this is a question that many have pondered…Grow my own wheatgrass? What does that entail? Well, you can find out by visiting the blog.

Anniversaries are a time for us to look back and to look forward. To see where we were and to try to forge an idea of where we are going. Time to take stock of things. I have had a great time growing into the business and letting Sprout Lady Rita grow, too, in her own way. The more she eats sprouts the more changes I see in her. When I first purchased The Sprout House, it was mostly a telephone based business with calls coming in at all times of the day and night. And now it is almost entirely website based with many emails. We once carried only about a dozen or so very popular seeds and only five seed mixes. Now we carry over 50 seeds and as many mixes. ( I have more mixes to try, too! ) I don’t know what other changes will occur in the next year or decades. But I know they are coming. One thing that hopefully will not change is that I will be here and you will be here with me. My sprouters. I think about you guys everyday, all of you. You are very special to Sprout Lady Rita.
